A small post today to share my Jack’s Chain pillow, which I’ve finished on Tuesday. On the front I used a serpentine stitch for the quilting. I’ve seen a couple of people using it. I think the first time was in the book Quilting Modern by Jacquie Gering and Katie Pederson. I really like the effect of this stitch and I have been wanting to try it out for a while. I thought this was a great project for it. I have a similar stitch on my machine (Janome MC 6500P), but it can’t be enlarged and elongated as much. However, I found a great tutorial on how to program the stitch in memory. It worked out well.
I also quilted the back panel. I used a print from the Lush Uptown collection by Erin Michael for Moda. I think it was re-printed last summer and I had bought some. I used some black thread to do some straight-line quilting follwing the black lines in the print.
I’m keeping this one for our bedroom!
Have a nice weekend everyone. And Happy Mothers Day to all the moms reading!
looks perfect on your bed with your beautiful quilt!
